CONRAD’S CONFECTIONERY

I never say no to ice cream — especially when it is homemade. One of my favorite places to grab a cone is Conrad’s in Westwood, NJ. If you haven’t been there yet, you’re missing out. Conrad’s was founded in 1928 and has been thriving since. So you know they are doing something right!

Their homemade ice cream is not to be missed. There are always-available staple flavors, and they have different special flavors made weekly. Some of my favorite staple flavors are Cocoa Mocha, Mint Chocolate Chip, Raspberry, Lemon, Folk Song Mule, Sea Turtle — honestly I’ve never had a flavor I didn’t love there. My favorite special I’ve ever had was Maine Squeeze — Blueberry ice cream with lemon zest and graham cracker pieces, I am still waiting for it to make its debut this summer as a special.

While I would choose ice cream over candy, they are famous for their handmade chocolates and candies. So if you are a chocolate-lover this is the place for you. You really can’t go wrong with anything made in this adorable old-time shop.

Make sure to stop by Conrad’s for ice cream before summer’s over!!
