MAKEUP BY GIA PALMIERI

There is nothing like having someone else do your makeup for you.

I enjoy doing my makeup and experimenting, but when someone else does it for you — and really knows what they’re doing — it’s wonderful. It’s also nice to relax before an event while you leave your makeup to a professional. I had Gia (@makeupbygia) do my makeup for my birthday party to have a different look than I normally do myself. With great experience and a great eye, she’s the perfect makeup artist for any occasion. I also learned she does hair too, but unfortunately we didn’t have enough time.

I really wanted to try contouring and airbrush makeup and Gia had all the right tools. The airbrush makeup was perfect, giving me the smoothest, lightest feeling makeup ever! I wanted my eyes to stand out — so we went for some dramatic color. Gia suggested a bronze shimmer with a little dark purple on the crease to compliment my brown eyes — plus some black, winged eyeliner — which is always a must!
