After 14 years of knowing Eileen, I finally got to meet her family — now MY family on the other side of the world.
I spent most of the day pent up in my hotel room editing (cough, cough, wasting my time). But the day’s saving grace was that I got to have a wonderful dinner with Eileen’s family! If you guys didn’t already know this — family is everything to me. Time spent with family, most of the time accompanied by copious amounts of food, is my favorite way to spend time. This was even more special to me because Eileen has lived with my family in the US, but I never go to meet her family until now. Her nieces and nephew are so so cute — let me know if you’ve ever heard a kid say ‘swimming pool’ a cuter way. I’ll wait…
