PHILIPPINES DAY 2 :: METRO MANILA

Today was another calm, but fun day! It started with an enjoyable breakfast at Acacia Hotel. Their buffet was   so good (Eileen is going to laugh. I have been saying, “so good!” so so so much. Anyways…) — Acacia has introduced me to my new favorite drink: kiwi juice. I am already looking forward to my next breakfast there!

After breakfast I went to the pool, lathered up with tons of sunscreen because I am the palest I’ve ever been… and caught up on all my favorite vlogger’s posts I’ve been missing. I made sure to only stay out for an hour because I was afraid of getting burnt…

… and of course I got some crazy-weird sunburn anyways. I’m not exactly sure how, because I put so much sunscreen on. I mean I got burnt INSIDE of my bellybutton. Is that a thing? Has that ever happened to anyone else?

After that I got to check out Metro Manila and even more of their gorgeous malls (there are a lot of malls). Greenbelt Mall is an outdoors mall with the most beautiful park in the center. I didn’t take as many photos as I would’ve liked because jet lag started to make me grumpy around 4pm… But I had a great time still! After shopping around a bit, we met up with Eileen’s friends for dinner. We had a wonderful meal and great conversation. It seems like all I’ve been doing is eating, but that is the truth. But tomorrow, we head to the island of Boracay and I am so so excited!!

Everyone tells me that I am going to fall in love and never want to leave. I’m sure they are right, but I can’t wait to experience it for myself and bring you guys along with me!

Talk to you guys tomorrow!! And remember… always put sunscreen in your bellybutton. (!??!)

XO,

L

As a Korean living in the Philippines, I have grown to love this country and consider it my second home. I love the warmth not just of the weather but of the people as well.
