I LOVE dresses, but sometimes you need to add a jumpsuit into the mix. This jumpsuit is the perfect dress alternative. This particular Halston Heritage jumpsuit has a flattering, fitted silhouette with a chiffon overlay that adds just the right amount of movement while navigating an event.
My little sister turned sixteen this past weekend! (disclaimer: Gina is not actually my little sister, but we 100% look related and she’s the littler sister I’ve always wanted). All guests had to wear black, which we all know was not a problem for me since my closet pretty much looks like a black hole (double meaning really…).
Halston Heritage makes timeless, elegant pieces that have just the right bit of edge to them. Each Halston piece is made well, and with quality materials, that they last for years. You can dress this particular jumpsuit can be dressed either up or down based on your choice of accessories. I dressed it up with thick chain jewelry — a David Yurman necklace that I made into a choker + a Burberry chain locket watch (that my amazing mother let me borrow!!). One accessory I particularly love is the ear jacket. I wore one on my left ear and a regular diamond stud on the right. I bought mine from Zara, but linked a similar option below that is only $13!! I had to get this jumpsuit hemmed so I wouldn’t look like it did on the model in the widget below. ALWAYS take the shoes you plan to wear with you to get your garment hemmed! I also carried a BCBG stud clutch that I could not find to link below, but I did link a similar clutch.
Another trick to make any jumpsuit (or dress) look even better is to get it hemmed to your height! Otherwise, you will look like the model in the widget below. ALWAYS take the shoes you plan to wear with you to get your garment hemmed! I also carried a BCBG stud clutch that I could not find to link below, but I did link a similar clutch.
Let me know what you think of jumpsuits in the comments below!!
