Located in the picturesque beach village of Del Mar, California is L’Auberge — a seaside luxury resort offering a beautiful retreat in San Diego. We were invited for a media dinner & I was blown away at every detail as we experienced L’Auberge Del Mar.
Their restaurant, Adelaide, had a summer pop-up L’Oyster Bar whose signature offering is their Charcoal Grilled Pacific Oysters with delectable mezcal butter. I’m not sure which we enjoyed more, watching them being grilled right in front of our table or the taste. We sipped on White Linen and Clover Club martini.
We also ordered the Ahi Tuna Toast min Sourdough which was served with a fresh basil aioli on Prager Brother sourdough. It was to die for. I will absolutely be back for this. Everything was plated beautifully and, as you know, that makes all of the difference to me.
The staff was incredibly sweet — made the beautiful ambiance and delicious food that much better. The sunset view over the ocean was quintessential San Diego + the live music definitely made it feel like a special event. One of the chefs, Sue, even made us a secret menu item (spring rolls) and it was an incredible experience overall. Highly recommend stopping by!
Thank you to L’Auberge + Adelaide for having us. Cannot wait to come back!
