Today we toured the Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park — also known as the Underground River. The Underground River is one of the New Seven Wonders of Nature. After visiting, I see why it was voted to the top seven.
After boating past stunning beaches, backed by majestic mountains — a spectacular limestone landscape welcomes you to the marvelous Underground River. This world-famous Puerto Princesa attraction brings so many tourists that there is a limit on how many permits are given each day. Bookings fill up fast, but we were beyond lucky to have found an opening during our four-day stay in Puerto Princesa. While this is an all-day tour, the river ride is only 45 minutes. We were told, “Be prepared to wait at each point while getting to the Ungerground River”. However, since we visited on Easter Sunday the longest we ever waited at a checkpoint was 15 minutes. And in the 15 minutes I manged to get yelled at twice… While this tour was bound to be unforgettable, I managed to get in trouble twice while there. Check it out below!
