THE WOODSTOCK 50 YEAR ANNIVERSARY

I made it to the Woodstock 50 year anniversary and it did not disappoint. While it was way more organized than the original festival, the vibes weren’t that far off. Bethel Woods, NY was packed with people from all over the country. Many traveled back in time for this 50 year anniversary celebration. With headliners like Ringo Starr, The Doobie Brothers, Santana, and John Fogherty — I wasn’t shocked that the couple next to us at the tailgate was all the way from Ohio. They planned a nine hour road trip to this three day festival.

Santana was my favorite performer of the weekend. However, Grandpa Woodstock (as pictured below) really was the highlight of the weekend. I swear meeting G-Pa Woodstock and talking to his family (which I couldn’t figure outfit it was his real family or “family”) transported us right back to the original Woodstock. Which we found out that he was indeed at, the proof is in the pudding.

This weekend had unmatched energy. You’ll be able to see a bit of it in the vlogs — when I finally get to edit them (subscribe to my channel HERE so you are the first to know)!! Can’t wait to relive it all while editing! But for now, enjoy these disposable diaries from the weekend!

While you’re waiting for my Woodstock vlog…

I highly recommend watching the Woodstock documentary on Netflix. I watched it recently and realized that this 50 Year Anniversary Woodstock was a fraction of what the original was. Which I already knew, but seeing the actual footage from the original festival solidified that. I highly suggest watching it! Although Kev and I ditched Sunday to drive up to Montreal to celebrate our birthdays together — being at Woodstock for two days of the festival is something I will never forget.

Have you seen the OG Woodstock documentary? Let me know in the comments.
