THE TARRYTOWN HOUSE ESTATE

I have been missing out. I’ve lived less than an hour away from the Tarrytown House Estate my entire life, and just went for the first time yesterday. The Estate lies on the east side of the Hudson River and has history dating back to the 1800’s that you can feel as soon as you drive past the entrance gate. As you wind up the driveway, the different mansions + houses reveal themselves to you. While THE hosts many events such as weddings, birthdays and other celebrations — it is also a great place to escape your fast-paced life and relax in the historical district of the Hudson Valley. Kevin and I wanted to take advantage of their “Romance on the Hudson” package. It was the sweetest ((early)) Valentine’s Day celebration ever.

ROMANCE ON THE HUDSON

This package includes accommodations for two, assorted chocolates gift for two in your room upon arrival, two complementary drinks, and a breakfast buffet for two at Biddle Mansion. Right as we checked into our room I b-lined for the chocolates… I swear to God, they were little chocolate mousse clouds floating on a cookie. I think I must’ve said, “I love these so much” to Kev at least 20x and proceeded to eat them before our dinner.

BOOK FOR VALENTINE’S DAY

We started off our night with our welcome drinks at Goosefeather’s bar. Not only is the ambiance in Goosefeather unmatched — but the cocktails were two of the best I have ever tasted. Everything from the decor to the glasses their drinks are served in has been carefully thought out. That attention to detail instantly makes me happy. I will be writing a full blog post on the restaurant, Goosefeather, itself so keep an eye out for that!

Next, we sat down to have dinner at in their library seating room of the restaurant. We let the chef choose each plate of our tasting menu. Best decision. For me, someone who is insanely indecisive especially when it comes to food ((because I want it allll)), this made our dining experience even more exciting. Each course was more exciting than the next.

After dinner we went to go sit by the fire pits right outside of the restaurant but it was super windy… and we were underdressed… so we went to drink wine on our balcony in our robes. We even could see the NYC skyline from our balcony. I can’t wait to go back once it’s a bit warmer to take advantage of their outdoor seating.

THE TARRYTOWN HOUSE ESTATE IS PET-FRIENDLY!

While we left Nova, Nero, and Kona home this time — because having three dogs in a beautiful estate/hotel sounds a little bit.. difficult… The Tarrytown House Estate is pet-friendly! Which is incredible if you don’t want to travel or getaway without your pup!

If you are looking to make last minute plans for Valentine’s Day or just want a little getaway — make sure to check out all the Tarrytown House Estate has to offer. Let me know if you have been or are going to plan a trip there soon! Even if you just visit Goosefeather for dinner for the night, it is worth it!

THANK YOU to the Tarrytown House Estate for the amazing stay + Romance on the Hudson package. I cannot wait to visit again!
