If you want delicious seafood and a killer porterhouse steak you have to head to North End Grill in Battery Park City.
I had the pleasure of crashing a client dinner with the rents — and I am so glad I did. The North End Grill is known for its seafood-focused menu, but I couldn’t resist their porterhouse after walking past the wood-burning grills and mesquite charcoal ovens they have in their kitchen. You know it is a great restaurant when they have an open-kitchen setup and you can watch as the chefs work their magic.
Not photographed was a delicious squash pizza with black kale, Calabrian chili with ricotta salata — I recommend starting with that. Being baked in a charcoal oven gave it such incredible flavor. You can’t go wrong with anything on their menu, but if you don’t order at least one whole roasted carnival squash drizzled with maple butter — you’re absolutely missing out.
And to all my fellow sugar-addicts out there, order one of each dessert and share them all. Because they are that good, seriously.
Stay hungry my friends.
XO,
L
