Here is the full itinerary from our Arizona road trip!
While I would’ve loved to have more time, this was a perfect way to pack a ton of beautiful stops into 1 week (ok ok, six days). ONLY thing I would change is maybe flying out of a different airport to maybe add in another stop on the last day!
Also, I HIGHLY suggest you road trip while it’s daylight out because each drive had incredibly stunning (I know I need some new adjectives to describe this trip) views.
DAY 1: NYC > PHOENIX > SEDONA
We flew from NYC to Phoenix at 4:30 AM landing in Phoenix at 10:50. This was perfect for us because we didn’t lose a full day to travel. After picking up the rental car, we drove 15 minutes to a delicious restaurant and get some real food in us. Then we made our 2 hour trip up to Sedona. We made it there just before sunset and ran out for a quick hike. You MUST get a prickly pear margarita from The Enchantment Resort. This is a must.
DAY 2 : SEDONA > PAGE
We had the full day to hike and explore The Devil’s Bridge in Sedona. Then drove to Page, AZ in time for dinner + drinks, even with a quick stop in Flagstaff + a stop at a random truck selling jerky (honestly, the best purchase of the entire trip)! We left a little late and the tail end of our 3 hour drive was dark. And while we missed some of the gorgeous scenery in the daylight, the stars that came out were comparable to nothing.
DAY 3 : PAGE > TUSAYAN
Possibly the best day of the trip, and my life. We woke up early for a tour of the Antelope Canyon. We toured the Upper Antelope Canyon, but little did we know the Lower Canyon is just as, or maybe even more beautiful. The tours are rather quick so I suggest fitting both in! We then went to Horseshoe Bend which is 15 minutes out of Page. The short hike off the highway to this amazing lookout is otherworldly. I swear for the first five minutes we did not believe that it was real. Then the best day ever continued with a scenic 2 hour drive to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon — and we made it there right as the sun was setting.
DAY 4 : GRAND CANYON
We spend the whole day adventuring through the South Kaibab Trail. We stopped at the Ooh Aah Point lookout because the wind was OUT OF CONTROL. And the lower you went, the worse it got. You guys can check that out HERE if you haven’t seen that video yet. Still so amazing. The Grand Canyon has a shuttle bus that will take you on numerous routes and stop at a bunch of look out points and places so there is something for everyone!
DAY 5 : GRAND CANYON DAY 2
First stop, RP’s Stage Stop for packed sandwiches for the hike — super delicious and very reasonably priced. Next, the Bright Angel Trail is one of the most popular and for good reason. There are many different switchback points that you can deem the midpoint of your hike. Since we were severely, and I mean SEVERELY unprepared — we did not go as far as we had planned because there was sheets of ice on the majority of the hike down into the canyon. Annnnd now I’m investing in hiking boots + real gear! That night, we stopped for Coronaritas at Plaza Bonita, one of the more lively stops in Tusayan.
DAY 6 TUSAYAN > PHOENIX :
We woke up and got our favorite sandwiches at RP’s Stage Stop again. Then we took off for our 3 hour drive back to Phoenix. Made it, napped in the car for 2 hours… probably because I got minimal sleep because of editing the daily vlogs — but so so worth it. Actually ate at North again, the same place we did on the first day, because it was that good!
If you have any questions, comment below or on any of the vlogs!!

I have to admit that when I first came to the Philippines, I did not really like Pinoy food. 5 years later, I am now addicted to adobo, kare-kare and sinigang! Haha

Hi! Thank you!! Yes, we stayed at a different one each night to keep our road trip moving — airbnbs weren’t available at the time but I think you could find some great affordable ones probably! I would make sure to pack clothes for warm weather and for cool weather since it got chilly at night (Sedona) — and at the Grand Canyon we were severely underdressed haha so layers layers layers!
