I kept putting it off telling myself I should wait until I saved up for the best equipment and perfected my speech ditching all of my “um’s + like’s” — but I realized I always tell people to just start. So I finally took my own advice. And the intro is live!! You can listen on Anchor, Spotify, all other podcast services or watch on my YouTube Channel! New episodes will air every Monday @ 7am.
LAUNCHING 1.20.20
My podcast is aptly named. It is going to be a little bit of everything. All over the place. Up in the air.
I want it to be a place where there are no limits on what you can and can’t talk about. From lifestyle discussions to stories I’ve picked up along the way on my travels — ALL OVER THE PLACE WITH LAYNE FABLE is going to be filled with things I’ve left out of the vlogs on my YT channel. It’s going to be a place where you’ll really get to know me and the people that surround me in my life. On Anchor you can even leave me voice messages that will be a part of the podcast episodes. This will be a conversation and all of your questions are valid — so send them all my way!
The first guest on the podcast is my younger brother, Shane Fable. We discuss his D1 collegiate lacrosse career at St. Joseph’s University in Philly, all the times he has evaded deadly situations, and more. I thought it was fitting to have him on first since he is a fan-favorite on the vlogs and is the voice behind the iconic “no one cares” outro.
However, we did film the episode right after going out for a huge ramen lunch and I promise I will never eat a huge meal before recording/filming a podcast episode again. In my family, we joke that Shane talks with little energy… but the beginning of EP 1 is brought to you by a self-induced ramen coma. Pinky promise we warm up after the first story of Shane getting stabbed… He really wasn’t too into discussing it but it had to be shared. Says me. I mean, there is no denying that huge gnarly scar on his neck. It was just one of the many times Shane has escaped death.

I am so excited for you guys to listen to the first episode of my podcast and I cannot wait for your feedback. There is still so much that I have to learn and improve on — but I am proud I finally sat down, starting recording and just started.
I always tell people to ‘just start’ and grow and evolve through the process of creating, yet I kept myself from starting this podcast out of doubt. Stalling because my equipment wasn’t top-notch. Doubting that I could get enough people to come on and talk. Second-guessing if I’ll have enough time to edit the audio + video components.
When in reality, my $100 Yeti Blue microphones sound just fine. I already filmed an episode with an old friend from high school that came on whom I haven’t seen in forever. AND I am more organized and on a schedule with editing + posting than ever before because of this podcast. So, whatever is holding you back from starting something you have the desire to do — push past it. And just start.
