If there is one thing I will be stocking up on for fall, it’s hats. I had bought this hat a year ago and maybe wore it once other than last night — and now I absolutely NEED more. A hat adds another element to any outfit and is the perfect fix for a not-so-great hair day. I can’t wait to go shopping for the perfect fall hat! If you have any favorite places to shop for hats comment below!
I was in a HUGE rush when throwing this outfit together (I styled it on my mannequin the next morning). While in the middle of writing cover letters and designing/updating my resume, I forgot that I had dinner plans to go to Piermont to grab a bite to eat and catch up with friends. The quality of the pictures suffered because I was rushing like crazy and forgot my memory card for my camera. Oh well… The base of the outfit is super simple — solid black FP shorts and a black crop top. All the detail is in the jacket. When I saw this jacket I had to have it — because I knew it would look amazing with all black! The colors are perfect for late summer into fall. The structured fabric in addition to the loud print dresses up the casual shorts and crop top. My favorite part of the jacket is the metallic gold detail on each side of neck of the jacket.
To mimic the metallic shine of the jacket’s tiny details, I chose low black boots with gold buckles & a handbag with gold details. I always loved the boots with cutout sides but could never find a pair that looked good while on my feet. Most of the pairs I tried on had too large of a cutout or offered ZERO support. Then I came across these… they are the perfect pair. They’re great for summer/early fall because they’re nice and light.
Luckily last night wasn’t crazy humid and sticky like the past week has been, so this jacket was perfect for a cool summer night. I ran out without jewelry because I didn’t have time — but my stackable gold rings would’ve been on each of my fingers.
Shout out to Viv, Dom, and Ryan for being my photographers! Anyone who wants to come take pictures for me let me know… 😉 Ha!
